Pannone Corporate are a commercial law firm specialising in business to business legal services. We were initially engaged as they had previously worked with an SEO agency in Manchester which had not yielded any results, and it was thought that this may have been due to the incumbent company having been primarily a website development agency. Pannone were therefore looking for SEO specialists to take on the project and build their organic traffic. Despite being a well established and highly reputable law firm, the rankings and traffic were starting from a minimal level at the point when we begun work, and the website was little more than a one page presence, meaning there was a lot of SEO work to be done.
What We Did
As there was a lot of SEO work that needed to be done, we started with an audit of the website to determine any technical SEO issues that may be underlying. There were several of these found, and we worked with their development agency to rectify the problems. This took a while, and so we set about other SEO work whilst the changes were ongoing. We conducted thorough keyword research to determine the best possible options for Pannone Corporate, taking into account the many different services offered by the firm that were not reflected on the website, as well as the competitive nature of the terms being selected. Particular focus was given to the relevancy of terms being chosen as the conversion rate of the website was low, and the few keywords that were ranking, albeit lowly, were not as relevant to the service offering as they could have been. Keywords were chosen from our in depth research and content was written and optimised for each category and service section, which was done in conjunction with the heads of each department and in line with governing SRA guidelines. We then embarked on a full link attraction campaign as the website’s authority was nowhere near in line with the closest competitors.
The Results
The results in this case speak for themselves as we were able to achieve phenomenal organic growth consistently year on year. The initial growth was dramatic as we were able to get the website ranking in page 1 positions in SERPs for 24 of the target keyword terms within the initial 9 months of the campaign, and this had a subsequent impact on the year on year traffic and, ultimately, enquiries, which grew by 65% and 185% respectively Year on Year. In the second year, similar growth was achieved with a 31% increase in organic traffic levels and 154% increase in enquiries via the website contact form from organic traffic. Again, into year 3 the growth continued with a 59% increase in organic traffic and a 50% increase in organic enquiries.
